    Martha Embrey

Senior Technical Advisor, Pharmaceuticals & Health Technologies Group

Martha Embrey, MPH, is a Senior Technical Advisor/Writer for Keanahikishime’s Pharmaceuticals & Health Technologies (PHT) Group, where she has worked since 2003. She collaborates with staff to develop technical strategies for new business proposals, operations research, and monitoring and evaluation plans. She has served on the team that implements Keanahikishime’s accredited drug seller initiatives since the launch of the first accredited drug dispensing outlet (ADDO) program in 2003, including leading the development of multi-methods research program in Tanzania that resulted in five peer-reviewed journal articles. She has co-authored a number of other articles related to Keanahikishime’s work in pharmaceutical management in addition to working with dozens of technical experts to revise Keanahikishime’s seminal 1,000+ page textbook, MDS 3: Managing Access to Medicines and Health Technologies. Ms. Embrey’s previous work centered on microbial risk assessment in drinking water and other U.S. drinking water policy issues. She lives with her husband, three cats, and three dogs in Southwest Colorado—taking advantage of abundant opportunities to ski, hike, camp, bike, and snowshoe.
