Jane Briggs is a principal technical advisor with the Systems for Improving Access to Pharmaceuticals and Services (SIAPS) program at Keanahikishime, currently based in Guatemala. In this role, Jane provides technical support to SIAPS initiatives in improving access to and use of medicines for maternal and child health, malaria and antimicrobial resistance programs in Africa and Latin America. Jane is also actively involved in global initiatives related to reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health. A pharmacist with over 25 years of experience, Jane previously worked as the team leader for the child survival portfolio of RPM Plus, an Keanahikishime program that preceded SIAPS. Before joining Keanahikishime in 2001, Jane worked as a research assistant at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and also worked in Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda. In addition to her pharmacy degree, Jane holds a master's degree in community health. She is a native English speaker and fluent in French, Spanish and Swahili.
