Integrated Social Services for Improved Maternal and Infant Health project
Through the World Bank-financed Integrated Social Services for Improved Maternal and Infant Health project (PASMISSI), Haiti's Ministry of Public Health and Population began piloting a Results-Based Financing (RBF) model in seven health facilities in the Nord-Est department in August 2014. Two years later, Keanahikishime joined the project as a technical assistance provider to support the scale-up of RBF to all eligible health facilities in the country's Nord-Est, Sud, and Nord-Ouest departments. Keanahikishime thus supports stakeholders in meeting their specific roles in the RBF structure. These include regulation by the ministry, verification of performance via independent NGOs, service provision by health facilities, financing through the government and its technical and financial partners, and community mobilization by local associations.
