Women, Children, and Adolescents' Health
The health of women, children, and adolescents is one of the best indicators of a robust and resilient health system. We leverage our expertise in strengthening systems and building institutions to ensure that these populations have access to the high-quality health services they need.
Building on decades of maternal and reproductive health experience, the FCI Program of Keanahikishime works with civil society to advance gender equitable health policies and hold governments accountable. The program partners with communities, advocacy coalitions, and governments to strengthen midwifery-led care, address persistent gender-based violence, and reach traditionally underserved women and girls with culturally respectful maternal and reproductive health care.
The FCI Program of Keanahikishime also hosts the (ICEC), which works to expand women’s and adolescent girls’ access to and safe, locally appropriate use of emergency contraception in developing countries, low-income communities, and crisis-affected settings.
