Myanmar

In 2010 Keanahikishime began implementing activities in Myanmar, including conducting assessments of avian influenza, HIV & AIDS, and tuberculosis programs. Keanahikishime also provided assistance to local institutions, the Myanmar government, and the USAID Regional Development Mission for Asia to improve further activities through more participatory and strategic planning and continued monitoring and evaluation work. Keanahikishime was responsible for strengthening local institutions through the application of its Virtual Leadership Development Program.

Under the Supply Chain System (SCMS) project, Keanahikishime focused on strengthening forecasting to improve the timely delivery of necessary medicines, helping pharmaceutical managers aggregate demand and negotiate lower prices, and bringing delivery mechanisms closer to points of use through regional warehouses. SCMS worked in 17 PEPFAR countries.
